The Myopia Hunter Paces and Hunter Trials exist because of our tremendous volunteers.
Meet our New Volunteer Coordinator
Meet LISA TYLUS, our Volunteer Coordinator for 2011. Lisa enters her third season as a Myopia Hunt Subscriber, where she and her lovely gray horse can be seen jumping beautifully through the countryside. Lisa’s helpful attitude and ready smile make her a perfect candidate for our Volunteer Coordinator.
Please make our events possible this season by saying ‘yes’ when Lisa calls to enlist you! You can reach Lisa at lt111483@yahoo.com or (978) 764-8009.
Thank You!
Over 120 volunteers came out to enjoy the fun last year. Volunteers included Subscribers, Patrons, and many others from the equestrian community. Last year, 70 of our volunteers were not Hunt Subscribers!
Volunteer Opportunities
There are so many ways you can volunteer and lend your support to our wonderful sport.
Fence Judging at the Hunter Trials is one of our volunteers' favorite assignments. It is fascinating to watch horse and rider teams negotiate our hunt jumps, and to learn what makes a good field hunter. Experience is not necessary; new judges are paired with our very experienced veterans of many years.

Hunter Pace days are filled with smiles. It is good fun to mark the start or finish times, or time riders at the mandatory rest stop. Watching these teams of riders in matched outfits and creative costumes will put a smile on your face.
